The lawsuit alleges that Russell Brand sexually assaulted a woman during the filming of "Arthur."

Another woman has accused Russell Brand of sexual assault, this time during the filming of the movie "Arthur" back in July 2010.

In the lawsuit filed in New York on Friday and obtained by Insider, a woman named Jane Doe, also an actress, claimed that Brand exposed himself in front of her in the presence of other actors and the film crew. According to the lawsuit, later that same day, Brand followed her into a bathroom and assaulted her while a crew member guarded the door from outside.

"As a result of the sexual assault, I have suffered and continue to suffer extreme embarrassment, shame, and fear," the lawsuit stated.

The complaint in New York comes just weeks after four women made their own accusations against the actor.

British media outlets reported allegations of rape and emotional abuse against Russell Brand. CULTURE British media outlets reported allegations of rape and emotional abuse against Russell Brand. In a joint investigation conducted by British publications The Times, The Sunday Times, and Channel 4, four women accused Brand of sexual assault between 2006 and 2013. One of them claimed she was 16 years old while Brand was around 30 when he coerced her into performing oral sex and engaging in sexual intercourse with him.

A day before the report was published, Brand publicly denied the assault allegations, referring to them as "baroque" attacks. He added that he had a phase of "looseness," but all his relationships "have always been consensual."

As of Saturday morning, Brand has not commented on the New York lawsuit. NPR was unable to immediately reach Brand's team and Warner Bros. Pictures, which produced "Arthur," for comments.
